Kenya Fauntleroy is a texture hair care expert with 16 years of professional experience in the natural hair industry. She earned her Bachelor of Science Degree from Spelman College in 1999. While working as an applications chemist for a fragrance company outside Atlanta, Georgia, she decided to follow her passion and attend cosmetology school. She ultimately earned her Master of Cosmetology License in 2006.
She launched her successful career at Too Groovy Salon in Atlanta, GA, where she obtained much of her foundational experience with natural hair textures. She owns her salon space, Texture Life Haircare, in Sandy Springs, GA, providing texture hair care services focused on healthy hair. Her ultimate goal is for all those she services to love their natural hair, regardless of hair type, texture, or length.
Over the years, Kenya has co-produced a natural hair styling DVD and taught various classes at the World Natural Hair Show and for the Atlanta Natural Hair Care Professional organization. She is currently an educator for the Amore Colore Atlanta team.
